Are you a google voice user? I am, and one feature I like about it the most is the free SMS texting. Even though I have google voice on my phone, on my tablet, and looking at sms text messages from the web browser, I wanted to know if there was an easier way on my desktop to access all of my google voice functions.
It turns out that there is!
- Download Google Voice Desktop Client GVNotifier If you have been living in US, you must have been a user of the Google’s voice chat service called Google Voice. For others who don’t know what Google Voice is, it is a free service by Google that enable the users to call and have voice chat.
- Download GVNotifier 1.4.3.198 from our website for free. The most popular version of the GVNotifier is 1.4. The program belongs to Communication Tools. This free software is an intellectual property of Dave Amenta.

There is a program called GVNotifier that simply does that: it notifies you of new calls, voicemails, and you can even do SMS texting straight from the desktop! Sweet, time to turn off email SMS text notifications.

CNET Download provides free downloads for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android devices across all categories of software and apps, including security, utilities, games, video and browsers. Create a blank text file named settings.xml in the same directory as GVNotifier.net.exe. GVNotifier will then store all preferences and cached contact photos in the same directory. Unfortunately the developer hasn’t released an update since June 2010, but for the most part it already does everything I want it to.
